I will run memtest and chkdsk and occt at some point in the next few days. Knowing my computer however, it will probably all come back perfectly fine just to spite me. Oh I forgot about updating everyone on this. chkdsk ran no problems. I never suspected the hard drive so that was no surprise. I never got around to running OCCT to check temps/other issues. I tried to run memtest but my computer will not boot from the CD (an older one, I burned a long time ago and used multiple times so I know it works). The BIOS was set correctly and when I tried to burn a new disk I burned nothing but coasters which got old after like the 5th coster being burned at like 16x. Either way, I only did the basic stuff in the swamp area in witcher and left. No problems since then. There are some other people online who also had some crashing problems in the swamp area but most of those folks were running original release and supposedly that problem was fixed in later patches. Almost makes me want to go back to AMD someday just for shits/nostalgia. -------------------- ::::::::: pc specs ::::::::: xfire stats :::::::::

Try burning memtest at a much lower speed....maybe the CDs have gone bad if they are old....
I got my RAM back from RMA Corsair....not 100% stable at my current settings (LinX failed at 4 minutes 45s slightly overclocked from 1600 to 1625 MHz....) so thats a bummer. Otherwise still running.... -------------------- "Remember kids, Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse, and helping your Uncle jack off a horse." - TSS

OCZ leaving "lower end" markets (memory mostly). Will focus only on higher end stuff. A profit margin/competition decision apparently.

Speaking of OCZ....so I RMAed a dead 4 GB Diesel flash drive back to them on which they recieved it on August 9th. 2 weeks later still no status update or as to when they would ship out a replacement/repair. I sent a unsatisfied letter to the CS department, and I got Hello and a tracking number showing me that they are airmailing me a replacement straight from Taiwan that same day.
http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?language=eng...rs=448841157558 I loled a bit when I saw that. *edit* Looking up shipping prices, I'm impressed. FedEx International First® 4218.00 NTD -> $131.82 USD FedEx International Priority® 2450.00 NTD -> $76.56 USD FedEx International Economy® 1818.00 NTD -> $56.81 USD -------------------- "Remember kids, Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse, and helping your Uncle jack off a horse." - TSS

The fact that it is not against the law is pretty telling about the state of that system. -------------------- ::::::::: pc specs ::::::::: xfire stats :::::::::

So I got another email from "ncsoft support" I'll just copy paste the part that I found fantastic:
QUOTE An investigation of your AION account has found strong evidence that the account in question is being sold or traded. As you may not be aware of,this conflicts with Blizzard's EULA under section 4 Paragraph B which can be found here: Well shit guys my ncsoft account isn't in compliance with AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT COMPANY'S EULA. They also used a phone number that didn't make sense 1800-59-AION which of course isn't a valid number. It's starting to get pretty ridiculous with the fishing attempts on accounts now. I do feel somewhat sorry for these companies that have to fix all the accounts that are fucked up because dumbasses just click on links that they shouldn't and sign into their accounts. -------------------- |

I think there is something fishy with my internet connection tests.

So my soundcard may have died, exploded, something because it doesn't even detect sometimes now as a device, I don't know. My mom said I should buy a new computer. Not a bad idea. Now is a bad time though.

....and today in blogging....
1) Now that the weather is colder all the girls have switched from tight gym shorts and tiny daisy dukes to sweatpants and jeans... I am sad panda... 2) I tried rock climbing today at the school gym which went better and worse than I expected. I tried it after finishing my full workout so I think that hurt me a bit because the climbing was pretty intensive. I had no problem pushing with my legs or pulling myself up, something I was not expecting, instead my finger strength (which is not great) messed me up pretty bad. I got all cocky after the first climb which I went up pretty fast and then wanted to try out the super hard one. The problem wasn't pulling myself around overhead ledges but actually finding and maintaining grip which consisted of only the first "part" of your finger. After failing 3 times on the hard one only like 5 feet off the ground because I couldn't find/maintain grips on the tiny grips available I tried a more medium one which seemed about right difficulty. I'm going to take the safety certification class when I get a chance and then try to do this again/more often. Also the climbing shoes (example pictured below, I think it's the exact pair I used) make my toes feel like I'm trying to go geisha style but you kind of don't realize when you are actually climbing. Was an interesting experience. Sweaty hands doesn't help either fyi.
